ACTIVITIES
NATIONAL LEVEL

A.National Convention on the use of Educational Aids
Held in co-operation with other collaborating research organization of school education, adult education and industrial education.

B.Annual Audio-Visual Education Prize Competition（since1959-1999）
Main Prize is awarded to schools and institutes whose long time achievement in the use of audio-visual aids has been acknowledged as distinguished.One Main Prize is given to each of the three sectors of education: School Education, Social Education and Industrial Education,and it also is given to an Audio-visual Library which has made remarkable effort and long time service of establishing its own organization.

C.Annual Educational Film, CD-ROM and Video Festival
Prizes are awarded to the meritorious works of educational films of the year. The films are classified in more than ten categories covering three fields of education: School Education, Social Education and Industrial Education. Prizes are also awarded to the meritorious works of slides and videos pertaining to the same three fields of education.The Minister of Education Prizes are awarded to the films CD-ROM and video of outstanding merit. The Festival is held under the co-sponsorship of the Ministry of Education, Center for Educational Computing(CEC), Japan Association for Promoting of Educational Technology(JAPET), Mainichi Daily News, Japan Broadcasting Corporation（NHK）

D.Annual competition of self-made audio-visual teaching materials

E.Planning and the promotion of teaching film production on the subjects suggested by the Ministry of Education.
